Walter Wrenn II, age 81, passed away on December 24, 2025, in Terrell, Texas. Born on January 1, 1944, in the same town where he would later take his final rest, Walter lived a life defined by resilience, independence, and an unwavering spirit.

From an early age, Walter faced challenges that might have deterred others. Born with cerebral palsy, he refused to let his condition define or limit him. Instead, he met life head-on with determination and grit—qualities that became hallmarks of his character. Strong-willed and tenacious, Walter carved out a path for himself that reflected both his courage and his fierce independence.

Walter spent most of his life in Wills Point and El Campo after being raised in Terrell. He found his calling behind the wheel of a truck—a career he pursued with pride and dedication throughout his life.  The open road suited him well; it was a place where he could be free and self-reliant.

Beyond work, Walter found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and four-wheeling—activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors on his own terms. A skilled woodworker, he took pride in creating with his hands. But perhaps nothing brought him more happiness than the companionship of his dogs. His four-legged best friend Ranger held a special place in his heart—so much so that those who knew him often joked he loved his dogs more than anything else.

Walter was deeply rooted in the Baptist faith, which provided him strength throughout his journey. His family remembers him as strong and courageous—a man who lived life on his own terms and never backed down from a challenge.

He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Pam Willis and her husband Rickey, and Pat Bass and her husband Teddy; nephews Gene Willis, Scotty Willis, Robbie Cates and wife Andee, Joe Bass and wife Gina, and Damon Savage and wife Jeannie; nieces Lisa Wallace and husband William, Teresa Stark, Kerri Johnson, and Vickie Willis; as well as many extended family members who cherished him deeply.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents Walter E. Wrenn and Maudene Bradberry Wrenn; niece Misty Willis; and nephew Ted Bryer.
