Funeral services for Wanda Lee Gallagher, 70, of Port Bolivar, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.
Wanda passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at her residence in Port Bolivar.
Wanda was born April 18, 1947, in Benham, Kentucky, the daughter of Leroy Eldridge and Virgie Caudill Eldridge. She was raised in Rushville, Indiana and graduated from Lexington High School in Kentucky. She was formerly employed by Bob's Sand & Gravel Company in Dallas for twenty years. Wanda was currently owner/operator of Captain Gallagher's Crab Barn in Galveston for the past thirteen years, where she was a fishing captain. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. Wanda loved taking care of her three dogs, Lily, Max and Dallas and most importantly taking care of her family. Prior to moving to Galveston thirteen years ago, she lived in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Virgie Eldridge and friend, Bob Allmon.
Wanda is survived by her spouse, Ron Carter, of Port Bolivar; two sons, Charles Michael Jackman & wife, Angelina, of Maine and Anthony Wayne Jackman & wife, Tracey, of Wylie; two daughters, Janet Sue Jackman and Billy Miller, of Grand Saline and Leila Rose Jackman and Jason Goff, of Wills Point; several brothers and sisters; twelve grandchildren, Johnathan Jackman & wife, Jessica, Jenelle Jackman, Chealsea Hatchcoat & husband, Andrew, James Fielding & wife, Sky, Brandin Fielding & wife, Christian, Kraig Jackman & wife, Nicole, Dustin Goff, Kassidy Jackman, Tristan Jackman, Aidan Jackman, Gabriel Jackman and Jaida Jackman and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
