Obituary

Wanda Jean "Jeannie" Nation, 64, of Wills Point passed away Friday afternoon, November 18, 2016, at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. No services are planned.

Wanda was born March 2, 1952, in Hico, Texas, the daughter of Leslie Hugh Whitaker and Rose Lee Haynes Whitaker. She was raised in Wills Point and attended Wills Point High School. On October 23, 1991, she married Ronnie Nation in Garland. They were married for twenty-five years. Wanda was a hospice nurse for Baylor Hospital in Dallas. She enjoyed reading, playing with her grandchildren and taking care of her birds and dogs. She was a member of the Edgewood Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Hugh and Rose Lee Whitaker.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Ronnie Nation, of Edgewood; two daughters, Misty Lewellyn, of Wills Point and Miranda Medelle & husband, Marty, of Wills Point; two brothers, Leslie Whitaker, of Wills Point and Carl Whitaker & wife, Celia, of Edgewood; sister, Debra Ward & husband, Phillip, of Wills Point and four grandchildren, Branton Harden, of Garland, Mason Morrow, of Garland, Saige Huddleston, of Wills Point and Jakob Tupy, of Wills Point.
