Wanda Louise Wright Howerton, 89, passed away Sunday November 3, 2024, at home in Wills Point, Texas. She was born to Obe Wright and Glady's Lindsey Wright in Deport, Texas on December 23, 1934.

Wanda lived a full and vibrant life, surrounded by love and dedication to her family, her animals, and her passion for gardening. She clearly had a deep impact on those around her, from her time owning and running the Feed Sack Restaurant in Balch Springs, Texas to her years raising cattle and Rottweilers. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Upon retiring, she moved to her ranch in Detroit, Texas along with her husband, George, (2008) and beloved son Kyle Wade Wilson (2022). After the passing of Kyle, she moved to Wills Point where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Roy Deen.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Howerton; son, Kyle Wilson; grandson, Trevor Dan Deen; siblings, William Wright, Pete Wright, Sam Wright, Velma "Sister" Wright Garrison.

Wanda leaves behind daughter, Kelly Deen and husband, Roy; granddaughter, Jana Deen Massey and husband, Ryan; grandson, Clay Deen and wife, Cassidy. Great grandchildren, Rainy Deen, Piper Massey, Tucker Deen and special friend, LaRuth Dixon.

The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family during this time. Losing such a beloved figure is never easy, but it's beautiful to see how her life touched so many generations. Her strength and resilience shine through in the way she adapted and continued to find joy by all who knew her, as a testament to the strength and warmth she brought to the world.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home located in Wills Point, Texas. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Deport, Texas.
