Celebration of life for Wiley Lee Curry, 83, of Wills Point, will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at New Release Fellowship Baptist Church in Wills Point. Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away Tuesday night, April 10, 2018, in Terrell.
Wiley was born October 17, 1934, in Lubbock, the son of Dewey Lee Curry and Elnora Dulaney Curry. He was raised in Tahoka and graduated from Tahoka High School in 1952. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. After serving his country, on May 24, 1970, he married Kathryn Louise "Kay" Lovelady in Durant, Oklahoma. Wiley was formerly employed as service manager for Deen Implement in Wills Point for twenty-six years, retiring in 1999. After retirement in 2000, he began working for Brookshire's in Wills Point, retiring in 2007. Wiley lived in Wilmer prior to moving to Wills Point in 1972. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, talking to friends and loved kids. Wiley was a member of First Baptist Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Elnora Curry; brother, John Curry, infant sister, Molly Curry and twin sons.
Wiley is survived by his wife, Kay Curry, of Wills Point; three sons, Richie Davis & wife, RaDonna, of Wills Point, Lee Curry, of Lubbock and Daniel Davis, of Mesquite; daughter, Wendi Curry, of Tahoka; brother, Mike Curry, of Wolfforth; two sisters, Margie Freeman, of Katy and Suzy Scopel, of Rosenburg; ten grandchildren, Sarah Stassen & husband, Nic, of Schertz, Ryan Davis, of Dallas, Renay Richards & husband, Casey, of Wills Point, Andrew Curry, of Oregon, Jenna Curry, of Plainview, Kendra Smith & husband, Marlon, of Amarillo, K'Lyssa Moore & husband, Grady, of Lubbock, Kayla Selmon, of Lubbock, Tyler Davis, of Denton and Lacey Lewis & husband, Blayne, of Mesquite and twelve great-grandchildren.
