William Allen Polege Sr., of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the age of 85.

William was born on March 10, 1935 in Dunkerton, Iowa to the late Edward and Lillian Polege. He was raised in Dunkerton moving to Wills Point from Balch Springs in 1997. William married Claudette Gray on November 15, 1958. He retired from Mesquite ISD in 1996 after 20 years of working as a mechanic. William enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his John Deere Gator. He was a member of the American Legion.

To cherish his memories, William leaves behind his sons, Billy Polege and Tina of Wills Point, Eddie Polege and Donna of Kaufman and Jesse Polege of Wills Point; daughter Connie Polege of Wills Point; sister Minnie Ada Brown of Iowa; grandchildren, Lillian Cross and Jeff, Hiedi Polege, Lisa Holmes and Jeremy, Christy Drake, Lacey Matamoros and Beto, Sam Polege, Scott Robinson and Lauren, Matthew Taylor and Amberly Pare and Josh; and 12 great-grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

William is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Elenor Carrier and Betty Hubbell; grandson Joseph Polege and great grandson Joseph Polege.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Allan Fuller Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Bright Star Cemetery.
